Create Your SafeBank Account

This guide will walk you through creating your SafeBank account step-by-step.

Account Creation Process

Creating a SafeBank account is quick and secure. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Download the SafeBank App

  1. Visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
  2. Search for "SafeBank Tap-to-Pay"
  3. Download and install the app
  4. Open the app to begin registration

Alternatively, you can start registration on our web dashboard at dashboard.safebank.io

Step 2: Enter Your Information

Provide the following information:

  • Email address: Use a valid email you have access to
  • Full name: As it appears on your government ID
  • Phone number: For SMS verification
  • Password: Create a strong, unique password

Password Requirements

Your password must:

  • Be at least 12 characters long
  • Include uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include at least one number
  • Include at least one special character
  • Not match common passwords

Step 3: Verify Your Email

  1. Check your email inbox for a verification message from SafeBank
  2. Click the verification link in the email
  3. Return to the app to continue

Note: The verification link expires after 24 hours. Request a new link if needed.

Step 4: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enhanced security is crucial. Set up 2FA using one of these methods:

  1. Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  2. Scan the QR code shown in the SafeBank app
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
  4. Save your backup codes in a secure location

Option B: SMS Verification

  1. Select SMS as your 2FA method
  2. Enter your phone number
  3. Verify the code sent via SMS

Important: Save your backup codes! You'll need them if you lose access to your 2FA device.

Step 5: Complete KYC Verification

To comply with financial regulations and ensure platform security, you'll need to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification:

Required Documents

You'll need ONE of the following:

  • Government-issued ID card
  • Passport
  • Driver's license

Verification Steps

  1. Select your document type
  2. Take a clear photo of the front of your document
  3. Take a clear photo of the back (if applicable)
  4. Take a selfie for identity verification
  5. Submit for review

Tips for Document Photos

  • Ensure good lighting
  • All corners of the document should be visible
  • Text should be clearly readable
  • Avoid glare or shadows
  • Hold the document flat

Verification Timeline

  • Standard verification: 10-30 minutes
  • During high volume: Up to 24 hours

You'll receive an email notification once your verification is complete.

Step 6: Set Security Preferences

Configure additional security settings:

Biometric Authentication

Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Enable biometric authentication
  3. Follow the prompts to set up

Transaction Limits

Set daily transaction limits for added security:

  • Low: Up to $500 per day
  • Medium: Up to $2,500 per day
  • High: Up to $10,000 per day

You can adjust these limits later in your account settings.

Choose how you want to be notified:

  • Email notifications for all transactions
  • Push notifications for payments
  • SMS alerts for large transactions
  • Login alerts from new devices

  • Accept cryptocurrency payments
  • Access merchant dashboard and analytics
  • Issue refunds and manage transactions
  • Integrate payment APIs

Troubleshooting

Email Verification Issues

Problem: Didn't receive verification email

Solutions:

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you entered the correct email address
  • Request a new verification email
  • Contact support if issues persist

KYC Verification Failed

Problem: Document verification was rejected

Common reasons:

  • Document photo was unclear or incomplete
  • Document is expired
  • Information doesn't match application
  • Document type not supported

Solution: Review the rejection reason in the app and resubmit with corrected documents.

2FA Setup Issues

Problem: Can't scan QR code

Solutions:

  • Try entering the code manually (shown below QR code)
  • Ensure your device camera has permission to access
  • Use a different authenticator app
  • Contact support for assistance
